Adam Goldberg and his wife have always loved taking adorable pictures of their dogs. They also have a sweet spot in their hearts to help out stray pets.
When they were able to find a way to mix their love for photography and helping animal shelters, they set out for the ultimate road trip.
Adam taught himself photography when he started taking photos of animals at shelters for the Humane Society Broward County. When he moved to Tampa, Florida, and volunteered to take pictures of the shelter pets at the Humane Society Tampa Bay, he met his wife, Mary. They fell in love with each other that instant because of their shared interest in helping stray animals.
They then started their photography studio in 2016 called AGoldPhoto Pet Photography, with Mary being the brand manager and Adam as the lead photographer. Together with their lovable pets, Rigby and Bee, they travel across the country for Pet Photo Shoot Fundraisers.
What exactly makes their photo studio a hit with animal lovers?
They get creative with each pet’s photoshoot, as they want the pets’ personality to be seen in the pictures. They even have a concept called “Artistic Nudity” by having taking photos of the animals without any outfits.
Some dogs are seen with their mouths open as they catch their favorite treats, while some are making adorable faces in front of the camera. They even became so popular with pet owners that even cat, turtle, or any other pet lovers have asked them for a private schedule.
These photoshoots are usually booked at around $155. This includes a sitting fee of $80 and a donation for a chosen animal shelter of $50 or more. With this amount, the owners will get five edited digital pictures of their pets that would make the fee worth it.
Since 2016, they were able to make $160,000, which were donated to over fifty animal shelters. For 2020, however, they plan to photograph 2,000 pets for 366 days, and are aiming to raise $100,000. For Adam and Mary, they are pleased to do what exactly they love and for a good cause.
