Zoey was no more than three months old when Howl of a Dog found her. She’s adorable, gentle, and loving, but someone had the audacity to leave her all alone in the forest. Thankfully, the rescuers found her right on time.
When the little dog arrived at the hospital, she was lethargic. She could barely stand on her own. Her skin was also itchy because of the hundreds of fleas and ticks that swarmed her.
To help soother her skin, the rescuers immediately started Zoey on medicated baths. They also hooked her on IV to keep her hydrated. They performed some tests, too, to determine if she had severe illness. Thankfully, she didn’t.
A couple of weeks after her rescue, Zoey transformed completely. She became playful. Her fluffy ears are always in its cheeriest position. And she always has the sweetest smile on her face.
Zoey is incredibly friendly and loving, which is why her rescue friends believed that it wouldn’t be long, and she’ll soon find her forever home. But while waiting, the sweet little pup spent her days caring for new rescues. She got along well with older and bigger dogs and even took care of kittens at the rescue center.
Soon, Howl of a Dog shared Zoey’s story on social media and put her up for adoption. A lot of families and individuals, living locally and abroad, submitted their adoption applications. After careful consideration, a family living in the United States seemed the perfect fit for the lovely pup.
Jenny, Zoey’s new mom, welcomed the adorable German shepherd puppy into her beautiful home in Maryland. Both she and her family were glad to have the little dog as a new member of their pack. And Zoey instantly connected with her new dog siblings Roxy and Kona.
Zoey had a rough start in life. She was just a baby, but her life was put in danger when someone left her in the forest. But today, she has the best life. And Zoey is sure to never be alone in life again.
